We’re replacing our old checkout counters with brand-new conveyor belt checkouts — the kind you’ve probably seen at most supermarkets. Don’t worry, this doesn’t mean we’re losing our personal touch. A friendly team member will still be there to serve you, just like always.
These new checkouts come with some big benefits:
- More accessibility: More room for everyone to shop comfortably.
- A smoother experience: From queuing to packing, it’ll be easier and quicker.
- Better for staff: The old setup has been tough on our team- causing bad shoulders and backs, so this is a welcome change for our health and well-being too.
- Room to grow: Larger packing areas and improved storage for baskets and trolleys.

We’ve listened to your feedback and our team’s input, and this upgrade is all about making your visit smoother, simpler, and more enjoyable. Here’s what you can expect:
- Shorter queues with clearer queue positions.
- More space for you and your shopping.
- A streamlined process from start to finish.
And yes, the tills may be new, but our commitment to excellent service and a personal touch stays the same.
When’s It Happening?
We’re planning to make the switch on 16th January 2025 — though this date might shift a little as we finalise the installation. Keep an eye out for updates in-store, online, and on our social channels.
